Grant to Maulana Azad Memorial Academy

The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Memorial Academy, Lucknow, which is a non-governmental voluntary organization, was initially provided an annual grant of Rs. 3 lakh for the purpose of translating Urdu books and magazines written by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and others about him into other languages and making them available in the country's libraries and reading rooms. This grant was increased to Rs. 15,00,000 in the financial year 2014-15. Similarly, a budgetary provision of Rs. 15 lakh is being made for each financial year now.
